The League of Women Voters was created in Chicago after women won their right to vote in 1920. In Miami-Dade County, our local chapter of the League continues that history by advocating for voting rights and civic engagement in our community.
The League of Women Voters of Miami-Dade County (LWV Miami-Dade) is a political grassroots network and membership organization that believes the freedom to vote is a nonpartisan issue. Since 1985, the LWV Miami-Dade has worked to empower voters and defend democracy. As a women-led organization, we encourage everyone to take part in our democracy.
